OPaL proudly commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas, paying heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces whose exceptional courage, unwavering determination, and supreme sacrifice secured India's historic victory during Operation Vijay.

Kargil Vijay Diwas marks the successful culmination of Operation Vijay on 26 July 1999, when the Indian Armed Forces recaptured the strategic mountain peaks in the Kargil sector that had been illegally occupied by Pakistani intruders across the Line of Control (LoC). The victory remains an enduring symbol of patriotism, resilience, and the indomitable spirit of the Indian soldier.

To honour this proud legacy, OPaL organized a special interaction programme at the Admin Building VC Room, graced by Shri Arup Jhampri, COO, OPaL, along with the Heads of Departments. The event recognized the invaluable contributions of the Kargil War Veterans serving in OPaL's Security Team, whose unwavering discipline, commitment, and sense of duty continue to inspire everyone at OPaL.

During the interaction, the veterans shared firsthand accounts of their experiences from the Kargil conflict, reflecting on the courage, teamwork, resilience, and patriotism that defined one of India's most significant military operations. Their inspiring stories served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty.

On behalf of the OPaL family, Shri Arup Jhampri and the departmental Heads expressed their deep gratitude to the veterans for their selfless service to the nation and acknowledged their continued dedication in ensuring the safety and security of OPaL's operations.
